Renovating and restoring this 1895 Pasadena home presented a challenge - to not only return it to its original splendor, but to ensure that the new work blended seamlessly with what came before. The result was an extensive interior renovation including an addition of a basement pub and game room. The assignment required matching custom wood windows, doors, period details and moldings to make the new construction seamless and historically accurate. The Chelsea Team took pains to successfully maintain the integrity of the home with its turned balustrades, pocket doors and lattice windows throughout construction process. The result was a home that celebrated its history while serving the modern lifestyle of it’s owners.

Chelsea Construction has worked on 2 projects for us. First, Chelsea did a kitchen remodel in our 1916 Colonial. Then, we found a true diamond in the rough, an 1895 Victorian that was in a state of complete disrepair. Chelsea Construction helped bring the house back to its glory due in a large part to the attention to detail that Chelsea brought to the project. Everyone that works for Chelsea is professional and courteous. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to work seamlessly with architects and designers are second to none. I would recommend Chelsea Construction to anyone that wants to "modernize" but, maintain the historical charm & beauty of their home.
